Based in Southern California, I am an avid photographer of remote and scenic areas in the Los Padres National Forest, Santa Monica Mountains and other local wildernesses. I often revisit particular locations to capture interesting lighting conditions, colors and compositions that emerge over the cycles of days and seasons. My photography seeks to represent the beauty and spirit of the place, while reflecting awareness of the impacts of fire and climate change. Other topics of interest include Native American culture, rural and urban decay and historic architecture. I hold a B.A. in Studio Art from Pomona College and a M.S. in Media, Arts and Technology from UC Santa Barbara.
